Region Five Youth News:
Region Five was certainly “Staying Alive” on the weekend of Saturday, February 27th as it welcomed youth from throughout the Region to their Region Five Leadership Conference located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The Conference was loaded with great speakers, including AQHA Executive Committee Member and future AQHA President Peter J Cofrancesco III.Region Five Directors Alison Ceresani, Katie Jo Jones, and Abigail Pait hosted the daylong event where attendees learned about the different types of leaders from Bethany Bickel, a Penn State Equine Extension Associate.
The Pharos Group partners Frank Bellis and John Ceresani teamed up in the afternoon session to talk about the "5 C's of Credibility" and to discuss some very timely teen topics such as our transparent world and how to navigate it safely. All participants were given exclusive "Region 5" tees and padfolios to keep notes on all of the day's activities.
In addition to the wonderful speakers, the conference was filled with tons of fun activities and a Fiesta themed dance which allowed the youth of region five to build fast and lasting friendships.
